ASPECT Targeted Skills Shortage Program
Quick Facts:
The Targeted Skills Shortage Pilot Program focuses on assisting low-skilled workers within businesses or non-profit organizations with less than 100 employees. Up to $1,500 per employee or $7,500 per employer is available to pay for tuition fees and purchase training services, books, manuals and other study materials. The program is expected to serve at least 1,200 low skilled employees around B.C.
The Targeted Skills Shortage Pilot Program is one of many programs funded through the Canada-B.C. Labour Market Agreement that are designed to help meet the current and future labour demands of our economy. For more information click here.

We can help employers tap into the West Shore and Sooke (to Port Renfrew) workforce while reducing the cost of hiring. WorkLink can provide the following services at no cost to you or to a potential employee.
i) Job Posting Board Service
Contact the associated WorkLink office that is within your business vacinity: West Shore 250-478-9525 or Sooke 250-642-3685 to post a vacancy for your full time, part time or temporary/casual position(s). See below for job order form options.
Please note the following service agreements:
1) WorkLink only accepts submissions for positions located in Victoria, BC and the surrounding areas (as outlined above);
2) WorkLink does not prescreen clients. It is at full discretion of employers to ensure clients are eligible for hire.
3) Each posting will be active for a term of two weeks then removed. Should an employer wish to re-post, contact our Job Posting Coordinator.
ii) Resume Collection
If you wish, WorkLink can help safeguard your confidentiality by collecting resumes from people who want to apply to your postings from our job board.
iii) Facility Use - Interview Room
We offer a private interview room for employers to meet with prospective employees. Please contact us for our policy and reservations for either location accessible during our regular business hours.
